DUI Offenses
There are different degrees of DUI offense. DUI charges are based on whether you are facing a first, second, or subsequent offense. Was your BAC 0.15% or higher? Did you have a minor in the vehicle with you at the time of the offense? Did you injure or kill another person? DUI is considered a serious crime in Florida and even with a lower BAC, it is possible to still be charged with a DUI.
First-Offense DUI
If this is your first DUI offense, you can face up to six months of license suspension. You will have 10 days to challenge that suspension. We can help you with that. Also, with a first-offense DUI, jail time will depend on the unique circumstances surrounding your case, but may include up to six months of jail time, up to nine months of jail time, or possible fines.

Multiple Offense DUI
A DUI is a serious offense alone. But multiple offenses are not taken lightly. Prosecutors and judges are extremely hard on those who have repeated DUI arrests and convictions. You will need a serious defense team if you wish to stand a fighting chance in a multiple-offense DUI case. We can work with you to receive the best possible outcome. Offenses can range from fines to jail or prison time.
Juvenile & Underage DUI
It is rare for underage DUI convictions to serve jail time. However, there are multiple penalties involved that can range from license suspension to probation. Additionally, the state of Florida does not condone and has a zero-tolerance policy for underage drinking and driving. We’ve helped many related cases, and we can help you gain peace of mind as well.
Felony DUI
Felony DUIs can seriously harm your future.
Felony DUI charges follow if you are:
- charged with a third DUI within 10 years of a prior DUI conviction
- charged with a fourth DUI
- charged with DUI manslaughter
- charged with a DUI that causes serious injury
Drug Intoxication
You may be charged with drugged driving while operating a vehicle after you’ve ingested any type of illegal drug or prescription drug. These charges are more difficult to prove, but rest assured, we can help!
Stiff penalties may include:
- Jail or prison time
- Hefty fines
- Community service hours
- Probation
- Substance abuse assessment
DUI With Injury
If you were driving your vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol and caused or contributed to serious bodily injury of another person, you may be charged with DUI with injury. Serious injuries can range from broken bones to spinal cord injuries. Penalties can range from fines to prison time.
